No toy kits. Real engineering tools.

Students build working electronic devices using Arduino, Python, sensors, motors, displays, and real code.

Why Beyond STEM?

Built for Students Ready to Go Beyond toys

Most robotics programs teach students how to assemble kits. We teach them how electronic devices actually work — and how to build them from the ground up using Arduino and real programming languages.

Real Engineering

Students build real electronic devices using Arduino microcontrollers instead of toy construction kits.

Real Programming

Students learn Python and Arduino programming in real programming languages instead of drag-and-drop block coding.

Project-Based Learning

Every lesson ends with a working project students build themselves.

Our Courses

Focused tracks that turn curiosity into capability.

Current Track

Arduino Robotics

Build and program electronic devices using sensors, motors, LEDs, displays, RFID, ultrasonic sensors, and more.

Core Skill

Python Programming

Learn programming fundamentals through games, simulations, and real coding projects.

FAQ

Questions parents ask before the first class.

What age groups do you teach?

Beyond STEM currently focuses on students ages 10–14.

Does my child need previous experience?

No. Students can start with fundamentals and grow into more advanced engineering and programming projects.

Do students need to buy equipment?

Students keep their Arduino kit, giving them tools to continue building outside class.
We will provide every student with a laptop.

What’s unique about your methodology?

We use a flipped classroom: students learn the theory and complete preparation before class, then use class time to apply it through hands-on practice.

What is Arduino Robotics?

Arduino Robotics is a beginner-friendly way for students to build real electronic devices. They connect sensors, lights, motors, and small computers, then write code that makes the project respond to the world around it.

What kind of projects will our children make?

Students build projects like a laser tripwire, a music player, and a reaction game. Visit our Instagram page, @beyondstemaustin, to see more student work and examples.
